Boozah Brewery Scout: Saltaire Brewery

Workers at Saltaire Brewery

Saltaire Brewery have been making internationally award-winning beer since 2006 and that is why they are this weeks pick for a shout out on Boozah Brewery Scout. Situated in Shipley (Bradford), Saltaire Brewery is truly independent and this means they are free to do nothing else but make great tasting beers.

You can visit their Taproom in Shipley as well. Visitors can taste the beers brewed fresh on-site and be the first to try our newest beers from cask ales to lagers. Our Taproom welcomes dogs, so it's a great place to join us after a walk along the canal or a trip into Saltaire.

Below are a few beers from Saltaire that we at Boozah would recommend.

Saltaire blonde: This is a personal favourite among us at Boozah! It has Balanced soft malt flavours with subtle spice from Bohemian Saaz hops, smells Earthy and malty and has a beautiful pale straw colour. Saltaire recommend pairing this with some classic British Fish and Chips.

Velocity: This is a brilliant session IPA. It has a light and refreshing taste with very citrusy notes, it smells tropical and citrusy and has a pale and hazy colour. Saltaire recommend this one to be paired with Fried Chicken.

Cascade: Cascade is an absolute Saltaire classic. It has a punchy citrus flavour and distinctive bitterness, smells like pink grapefruit and has a stunning bright, rich pale colour. There’s only one thing Saltaire recommend pairing this beautiful American Pale with and that’s a big, juicy burger!

Honourable mentions:

Helles - A clean, crisp lager in the classic German style. Pilsner - light and refreshing, an authentic lager inspired by old Bohemia. South Island - clean, crisp beer with subtle fruitiness from Nelson Sauvin hops.
